How do you rotate a rectangle in Adobe Pro?

Published in Adobe Acrobat 2 mins read

To rotate a rectangle in Adobe Acrobat Pro, you'll use the "Edit" tools and select a transformation option. Here's how:

  1. Open your PDF in Adobe Acrobat Pro.

  2. Navigate to the "Edit" tool. This can usually be found in the right-hand pane, or under the "Tools" menu.

  3. Select "Edit PDF".

  4. Select the Rectangle. Click on the rectangle you want to rotate.

  5. Choose Transform Options. The object should now be selected and you should see a bounding box around the rectangle. You will likely need to either right-click on the selected object or find an options bar to access rotation tools. Look for an option like:

    • Rotate: This allows you to freely rotate the selected rectangle.
    • Transform: This may open another menu with options like "Scale, Rotate, Skew, Distort, Perspective, or Warp". Choose "Rotate" from this menu if available.
  6. Rotate the Rectangle.

    • Free Rotation: If you selected "Rotate," you should be able to click on one of the corner handles and drag to rotate the rectangle. Holding down the Shift key while rotating will usually constrain the rotation to 45-degree increments.

    • Precise Rotation: If you have a specific angle in mind, look for a field where you can enter the rotation angle numerically. This may be in a properties panel that appears when the object is selected or in a dialog box.

  7. Finalize the Rotation. Once you are satisfied with the rotation, click outside the rectangle or select another tool to deselect it and apply the change.

  8. Save your PDF. Go to File > Save to save the changes to your PDF document.
