How do you add oil to an air lubricator?

Published in Air Tools 1 min read

To add oil to an air lubricator, you need to remove the oil plug at the top of the unit and refill the reservoir.

Here's a step-by-step guide:

  1. Locate the Oil Plug: Find the oil plug, typically a black plug, at the top of the air lubricator.

  2. Remove the Plug: Use a 1/4-inch hex wrench to carefully remove the oil plug.

  3. Add Oil: Pour the appropriate type and amount of oil into the reservoir. Refer to your lubricator's manual for oil type and capacity recommendations.

  4. Replace the Plug: Once the reservoir is filled to the correct level, replace the oil plug and tighten it securely with the hex wrench.

  5. Air Supply: Oil can be added whether the air supply is on or off, but it's generally safer and cleaner to do it with the air supply turned off.
