To rewind on BBC Sounds, you use the scrub bar located on the playback screen. This allows you to navigate through the programme you are listening to.
Using the Scrub Bar to Rewind
When a programme is playing, you will see a progress bar, often referred to as the scrub bar. This bar visually represents the duration of the programme and your current position within it.
Here's how to use it:
- Locate the Scrub Bar: On the playback screen, look for a horizontal line that indicates the programme's progress.
- Find the Orange Circle: At the front of this line, you'll see a small orange circle or indicator. This marks your current position in the programme.
- Drag to Rewind: To rewind, simply drag this orange circle backwards along the scrub bar. As you drag it, the programme will jump to the corresponding point in time.
- Fast Forward: Similarly, you can drag the orange circle forwards to fast-forward through the programme.
Skipping Episodes
In addition to rewinding and fast-forwarding within a single programme, BBC Sounds also provides controls to navigate between episodes:
- Previous Episode: Look for a left arrow icon. Tapping this will skip to the previous episode in the series, if available.
- Next Episode: Look for a right arrow icon. Tapping this will skip to the next episode in the series, if available.
These playback controls provide full flexibility for navigating both within a programme and across different episodes. For more detailed information on playback controls, you can refer to the BBC Sounds help page.
