The full form of TISCO is Tata Iron and Steel Company.
TISCO, a pioneering venture in India's industrial history, was founded by Jamsetji Nusserwanji Tata and established by Sir Dorabji Tata on August 26, 1907. It marked a significant milestone in India's steel production, commencing pig iron production in 1911 and steel production in 1912. As a branch of Jamsetji's Tata Group, the first steel ingot was manufactured on February 16, 1912. This laid the foundation for what is now known as Tata Steel, a global leader in the steel industry.
