Woods' Ingenious Survival Tactic
Frank Woods displayed remarkable resourcefulness and quick thinking during the perilous encounter with Lev Kravchenko to ensure his survival, and by extension, the survival of both men from the immediate blast.
During their struggle, Woods managed to swiftly detach Kravchenko's own grenade belt. With crucial seconds ticking away, he then strategically placed the loose grenade belt over a nearby loading bay located next to a window. This quick action effectively transformed the loading bay and the adjacent wall into a protective "Sump." By positioning the grenades in this manner, the wall was able to absorb the majority of the blast's force, significantly minimizing the damage to Woods and allowing both combatants to escape the explosion with their lives.
