LC disease, or leptomeningeal carcinomatosis, also known as leptomeningeal metastasis or carcinomatous meningitis, is a condition where cancer cells spread to the leptomeninges, which are the pia mater and arachnoid mater membranes surrounding the brain and spinal cord, and the subarachnoid space between them.
In simpler terms, it's cancer that has spread to the membranes and fluid around the brain and spinal cord. This is a serious complication of some cancers.
