The Purpose of Echo's Exile
This 20-year sentence was a severe punishment agreed upon by Anders. Echo's banishment to Skyring was a direct consequence of her actions, which included:
- Murdering three Disciples: A grave offense against the society's members.
- Torturing Levitt: Inflicting harm upon a key individual.
- Attempting to release Gen-9: A significant act of defiance with potentially far-reaching implications.
Anders' decision to exile Echo for two decades also carried a crucial condition: her retrieval from Skyring was dependent on Clarke's willingness to assist them with the Flame. Failure on Clarke's part would mean Echo would not be brought back from her solitary confinement on the distant planet.
