The title "father of acids" is not a commonly used or established term in the scientific community. However, Robert Boyle is often credited with being the first to systematically study acids and their properties in 1680. He observed that acids dissolve various substances, change the color of certain dyes, and have their properties restored by alkalis (bases).
While Boyle was not the first to encounter or use acids, his detailed observations and descriptions laid the foundation for understanding the nature and behavior of acids.
