How to Clear a Filter?

Published in Clear Filter 1 min read

You can clear filters in several ways, including using a keyboard shortcut or clearing filters column by column.

Methods to Clear Filters

Clearing filters allows you to reset your data view to show all records again. Here are common methods:

1. Using the Keyboard Shortcut

A quick way to clear all filters applied to your data is by using a specific keyboard combination.

  • Keyboard Shortcut: Press Alt + D + F + F. This shortcut efficiently removes all filters currently active in your dataset, restoring the full view of your data.

2. Clearing Filters from a Specific Column

If you only want to remove the filter from one particular column while keeping others active, you can do so directly from the column header.

  1. Click the down-arrow (filter icon) that appears next to the column heading where a filter is applied.
  2. From the dropdown menu that appears, click "Clear Filter from "(column name)". Replace "(column name)" with the actual name of the column you are clearing.

This method is useful when you need fine-grained control over which filters remain active.

These methods provide flexibility in how you manage filtered data, whether you need to clear all filters at once or only from specific columns.
