What color do we see first?

Published in Color Perception 1 min read

The human eye typically sees yellow and bright variations of green first. This is because these colors are in the middle of the color spectrum, making our eyes highly sensitive to them.

While red is often considered the first color babies see, research indicates that yellow is the most visible color overall, making it the initial color our eyes perceive.

However, individual experiences can vary. The color we see first might depend on various factors like the specific color's brightness, contrast against the background, and personal visual sensitivity.
