Published in Electricity Meter 1 min read

To put on emergency electric, you will need to activate the emergency credit feature on your electricity meter. This process is straightforward and can be completed by following a few simple steps.

Activating Emergency Credit on Your Meter

Activating emergency credit ensures you maintain power when your regular credit runs low, giving you time to top up. Based on Help and support guidance, here’s how to access this essential feature:

  1. Wake Up the Meter: Begin by pressing any button on your electricity meter. This action will wake up the screen from standby mode.
  2. Confirm Emergency Credit Display: Once the meter is active, look for 'EC' or 'Emergency credit' displayed on the screen. This indicates that the emergency credit option is available.
  3. Accept the Credit (First Press): To proceed and accept the emergency credit, press the A button. This confirms your intention to use the available credit.
  4. Final Confirmation (Second Press): After your initial acceptance, the meter will prompt you again. Press the A button once more to finalize the activation of the emergency credit.

Following these steps will successfully put on your emergency electric, providing you with a temporary power supply.
