Scar was ultimately killed by the vengeful hyenas after being defeated by Simba.
After a fierce battle at Pride Rock, Scar was defeated by Simba, who managed to kick him over a cliff ledge. Although Scar survived the fall to the base of Pride Rock, he was cornered by the very hyenas he had previously manipulated and attempted to betray. As he lay at the base of the cliff, he was confronted by the hyenas—Shenzi, Banzai, and Ed—whom he had promised power and food but then, in a desperate attempt to save himself from Simba, tried to blame for Mufasa's death and his own actions.
- Vengeance of the Hyenas: Feeling betrayed and used, the hyenas turned on Scar. They attacked him as retribution for his attempted betrayal, tearing him apart and ensuring his end.
This final act served as justice for Scar's deceitful and murderous actions, particularly his role in Mufasa's death and his tyrannical rule over the Pride Lands, which led to widespread suffering and famine.
