How Do You Play Diggy?

Published in Gaming Controls 2 mins read

Playing Diggy involves navigating a digger, drilling through terrain, and locating hidden objects using a radar.

Here’s a breakdown of the core gameplay and controls:

Diggy Controls

Controlling Diggy is straightforward using on-screen joysticks and a key for the radar.

  • Movement and Drilling: Use the on-screen joystick on the left to move Diggy and drill in the direction you push the joystick.
  • Aiming: Use the on-screen joystick on the right specifically to aim Diggy's drill direction, independent of movement. This allows you to point the drill at specific spots or angles.
  • Radar: Tap E to activate Diggy's radar. This helps you locate hidden objects buried in the ground.

Gameplay Loop

The basic gameplay loop involves exploring, scanning, and excavating.

  1. Explore: Use the left joystick to move Diggy through the environment, drilling through dirt and other materials.
  2. Scan: When searching for treasure or objectives, tap E to activate your radar and identify the location of hidden objects.
  3. Excavate: Once the radar reveals a hidden object, use the joysticks (left for movement/drilling, right for aiming if needed) to drill towards the revealed location.
  4. Collect: Drill directly to the hidden objects you located with the radar and then move over them to pick them up.

Essentially, you drill to move, aim separately if desired, scan with radar to find things, and then drill to those spots to collect what you find.
