What Smells Do Goats Hate?

Published in Goat Care 1 min read

Goats apparently hate the smell of Verbascum thapsus, also known as Great Mullein.

This aversion seems to be triggered when they trample the plant, releasing its scent. Due to this unpleasant experience, goats generally avoid eating it. Furthermore, the reference suggests that planting Verbascum around other plants might deter goats from consuming those plants as well, acting as a natural protective barrier.
