HBYC stands for Home Based Care for Young Child.
The primary objective of HBYC is to decrease child mortality and morbidity, improve the nutritional status of young children, promote healthy growth, and foster early childhood development. This is achieved through increased home visits conducted by community health workers, specifically the ASHA (Accredited Social Health Activist) and Anganwadi worker. These visits provide essential support and guidance to families in caring for their young children.
