What is IMD disease?

Published in Infectious Diseases 1 min read

Invasive Meningococcal Disease (IMD) is what happens when the Neisseria meningitidis bacterium enters normally sterile areas of the body. This bacterium, also called meningococcus, causes meningococcal disease.
