How to Use Instax Mini Film?

Using Instax Mini film is a straightforward process that primarily involves correctly loading the film cartridge into your camera, preparing it for capturing instant photographs.

Loading Your Instax Mini Film Cartridge

To begin using your Fujifilm Instax Mini film, follow these essential steps to ensure the film cartridge is properly installed and your camera is ready to shoot:

  • Step 1: Open Camera and Align Film Cartridge

    • Gently open the film compartment door on the back of your Instax Mini camera.
    • Take your Fujifilm Instax Mini film cartridge.
    • Locate the yellow dots on both your camera's internal film compartment and on the film cartridge itself. It is crucial to align these yellow dots precisely.
    • Carefully insert the film cartridge into the camera's film compartment, ensuring it sits snugly and the yellow dots are aligned.
  • Step 2: Secure the Film Compartment

    • Once the cartridge is correctly positioned, securely replace the film cover (the camera's back door) until you hear it click shut.
  • Step 3: Eject the Protective Dark Slide

    • Turn the camera on.
    • Press the shutter button once. This action will automatically eject the protective black plastic sheet, often referred to as the "dark slide" or "film cover," from the camera's film slot. This step ensures the actual photo-sensitive film is exposed for subsequent shots.
    • As the dark slide ejects, you will notice the exposure counter on your camera change. It will switch from "S" (indicating the presence of the dark slide) to "10," which signifies that the camera now has 10 usable films ready for capture.

After completing these steps, your Instax Mini camera is successfully loaded with film and prepared to take your first instant photo.
