To effectively use an instrument sterilizer, follow these steps to ensure proper sanitation:
- Preparation: Ensure the instrument sterilizer is clean and in good working condition.
- Loading Instruments: Place the instruments inside the sterilizer, making sure that water can circulate freely around them. All instruments should be completely submerged in water.
- Filling with Water: Add the appropriate amount of water to the sterilizer, ensuring that all instruments are covered.
- Powering On: Plug the instrument sterilizer into the main switch.
- Sterilization Process:
- Switch ON the sterilizer.
- Allow the water to boil at 100°C for 20 minutes.
- Monitoring: Do not leave the boiler unattended while in use.
- Completion: After 20 minutes, switch off the sterilizer and carefully remove the sterilized instruments.
