The full form of RAW is Research and Analysis Wing.
The Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) is India's primary external intelligence agency. It gathers foreign intelligence, engages in counter-terrorism activities, and advises policymakers. RAW was established in 1968 following the Indo-China War of 1962 and the Indo-Pak War of 1965, when a need for dedicated foreign intelligence became apparent. The organization reports directly to the Prime Minister of India.
