To allow 17+ apps on your iPhone, you need to adjust your device's Screen Time content restrictions. This setting controls the age ratings for apps you can download or purchase from the App Store.
Adjusting App Store Age Restrictions
Follow these steps to set your iPhone's App Store content restrictions to allow 17+ rated applications:
- Open Settings: Tap the Settings icon on your iPhone's Home screen.
- Access Screen Time: Scroll down and tap Screen Time.
- Navigate to Restrictions: Under the "Restrictions" section, tap Content & Privacy Restrictions.
- Select Content Type: Tap on Store, Web, Siri & Game Center Content.
- Choose App Content: Under the "Allowed Store Content" section, tap Apps.
- Set Age Rating: From the list of age ratings, select 17+.
Once "17+" is selected, your iPhone will allow you to download and purchase apps rated for users 17 years and older from the App Store. If prompted, you may need to enter your Screen Time passcode to make these changes.
