About Jim Leonhard
Before transitioning into a successful coaching career, Jim Leonhard had a distinguished tenure as a player in the National Football League (NFL). He played as a safety for various teams, including a significant period with the New York Jets, where he started 40 games over three seasons. His NFL journey also saw him play for the Denver Broncos, the Buffalo Bills (on two separate occasions), and the Cleveland Browns, before he retired following the 2014 season. Following his playing career, Leonhard moved into coaching, most notably with the Wisconsin Badgers.
