Published in Lung Injections 1 min read

Several types of injections are used to treat lung conditions. These include:

  • VENTOLIN INJECTION: This injection helps to open up the breathing tubes in the lungs, making it easier to breathe. It's used for the prevention and relief of bronchospasm in bronchial asthma of all types.
  • Omalizumab Injection: This injection is used to decrease the number of asthma attacks (sudden episodes of wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, and shortness of breath).
  • Epoprostenol Injection: This injection is used to treat pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH), which is high blood pressure that occurs in the main artery that carries blood from the heart to the lungs.
  • Ceftazidime Injection: This injection is a cephalosporin antibiotic that works by killing bacteria. It is used to treat various bacterial infections, including lung infections.
  • Targeted therapies: These medications target specific proteins or pathways involved in the growth and spread of lung cancer. Examples include erlotinib and ramucirumab.

Note: Some injections can be given directly into the lungs (inhaled medications), while others are given intravenously or intramuscularly.
