How to Record Your Screen on Your Mac

Your Mac comes equipped with a dedicated Screenshot utility that offers comprehensive options for screen recording. Follow these steps to capture your screen activity:

1. Access the Screenshot Toolbar

   To begin, open the Screenshot application, which will display a toolbar at the bottom of your screen with all the necessary tools.

   • Press Shift-Command-5: This is the quickest way to launch the Screenshot toolbar.
   • Alternatively, use Launchpad: You can find and open the "Screenshot" application through Launchpad.

2. Select Your Recording Tool

   Once the toolbar appears, you'll see various icons. Click on the tool that corresponds to the type of screen recording you want to perform:

   • Record Entire Screen: This option captures all activity across your entire display.
   • Record Selected Portion: This allows you to drag a selection box over a specific area of your screen to record only within that region.
