How do I remove my Gmail password from Microsoft Edge?

Published in Microsoft Edge Browser 2 mins read

To remove your saved Gmail password from Microsoft Edge, follow these simple steps:

  1. Open Microsoft Edge: Launch the Microsoft Edge browser.

  2. Access Settings: Click the three horizontal dots (ellipsis) in the upper-right corner of the browser window. From the dropdown menu, select "Settings."

  3. Navigate to Profiles and Passwords: In the Settings menu, click on "Profiles" in the left sidebar (or the main page). Then, select "Passwords."

  4. Search for Gmail: In the "Saved passwords" section, you'll find a search bar labeled "Search passwords." Type "Gmail" into the search bar to quickly locate your saved Gmail password.

  5. Manage or Delete the Password: Once you've found the Gmail entry, look for the three dots (more options) next to the Gmail entry. Click on these dots.

  6. Choose Your Action: A menu will appear with options to either "Edit" or "Delete" the password.

    • Delete: If you want to completely remove the saved Gmail password from Edge, click "Delete." You'll likely be prompted to confirm your decision.

    • Edit: If you want to change the saved password (perhaps because it's incorrect), click "Edit." You'll be able to view and modify the username and password fields. After editing, be sure to save your changes.
Now your Gmail password should be removed from Microsoft Edge's saved passwords, or edited to your new information.
