A person with Moebius syndrome can be born with a small mouth (microstomia).
According to research, individuals with Moebius syndrome may exhibit several characteristics related to their mouth and oral cavity:
- Microstomia: A smaller than usual mouth.
- Micrognathia: A small chin.
- An abnormally shaped or short tongue.
- Cleft palate: An abnormal opening in the roof of the mouth.
- A high and arched roof of the mouth.
