What is the oldest organ?

Published in Musical Instruments 1 min read

The oldest playable pipe organ in the world is located in the Basilica of Valère in Sion, Switzerland. Built around 1435, it boasts a mostly original case but only 12 original pipes, as the rest have been replaced during restorations.

While organs are not biological organs, they are musical instruments that have a rich history and continue to be appreciated for their intricate sounds.
