Who Killed Hidan?

Published in Naruto Characters 1 min read

The individual responsible for Hidan's ultimate demise was Shikamaru Nara.

Shikamaru's Calculated Vengeance

Driven by a profound desire to avenge the death of his beloved sensei, Asuma Sarutobi, Shikamaru meticulously orchestrated Hidan's downfall. Knowing Hidan's unique ability to be functionally immortal, Shikamaru devised a strategy not to simply injure him, but to permanently incapacitate him through an overwhelming, destructive force.

Shikamaru's intricate plan involved luring the immortal Akatsuki member into a specially prepared area designed for his ultimate demise. The critical actions leading to Hidan's brutal defeat included:

  • Strategic Lure: Shikamaru skillfully manipulated Hidan into a forest area where he had prepared a trap.
  • Explosive Preparations: A multitude of explosive tags were strategically placed throughout the area, creating a massive, hidden detonation trap.
  • The Igniting Spark: Finally, having the chance to exact his revenge, Shikamaru lit a cigarette (which was changed to Asuma's lighter in the anime for symbolic reasons) and tossed it directly at Hidan.
  • Devastating Outcome: The lit object caused the explosive tags to detonate simultaneously. The resulting powerful explosion left Hidan literally blown to bits, effectively ending his threat.
