Which ocean is L-shaped?

Published in Oceanography 1 min read

The Pacific Ocean is often described as being "L-shaped."

While no ocean perfectly forms a precise "L" shape, the Pacific Ocean's general configuration, particularly when considering the distribution of its landmass boundaries, can be loosely perceived as resembling an "L." This is more of a visual approximation than a strict geometrical description. The vastness and irregular coastlines of the Pacific contribute to this subjective perception.
