Unlike the often overcast conditions found along the Oregon coast and the I-5 corridor, Klamath Falls experiences a remarkably different weather pattern. Its consistent sunshine is primarily due to two key geographical factors:
- Elevation: Situated at approximately 4,100 feet above sea level.
- Geographical Location: Positioned on the east side of the Cascade Mountain Range. This location places it in the rain shadow of the Cascades, a natural phenomenon where the mountains block much of the moisture-laden air coming from the Pacific Ocean.
