You can create and manage layers in Paint 3D to help organize your project and work on different elements independently. Here's how:
Adding a New Layer
-
Navigate to Layers: On the Home tab, locate the Layers option on the right end of the toolbar.
-
Open the Layers Pane: Click on Layers to open the dedicated Layers pane.
-
Create a New Layer: In the Layers pane, select Add New Layer.
-
Name the Layer: Type a descriptive name for your new layer and press Enter. This helps you easily identify and manage different layers in your project.
Managing Layers
Once you've added layers, you can manage them in several ways:
- Reordering: Drag and drop layers within the Layers pane to change their stacking order. The layer at the top of the list will appear in front of the layers below it.
- Visibility: Toggle the visibility of a layer by clicking the eye icon next to its name. This allows you to hide or show specific elements while you work on others.
- Deleting: Select a layer and click the delete button (usually a trash can icon) to remove it from your project.
- Selecting: Click on a layer's name in the Layers pane to make it the active layer. Any drawing or editing actions will then be applied to the selected layer.
By using layers effectively, you can create more complex and organized projects in Paint 3D.
