In Pokémon Rumble Blast, Pokémon do not evolve in the traditional sense, unlike the main series games where they might level up, use items, or trade to evolve. Instead, the game features a unique system for acquiring the evolved forms of your toy Pokémon.
To obtain an evolved Pokémon in Pokémon Rumble Blast, you must follow a specific process centered around releasing duplicate Pokémon from your collection.
Acquiring Evolved Pokémon Through Release
While your individual Pokémon won't transform or "evolve" during gameplay, you can effectively unlock or be given their evolved counterparts by managing your collection:
- The Release Mechanic: To receive an evolved form of a Pokémon, you need to collect and then release a specific quantity of its pre-evolved form.
- Requirement: If you release seven (7) copies of the same pre-evolved Pokémon species, the game will then grant you the next evolution of that Pokémon.
- Example: If you release seven (7) different Bulbasaur that you've collected, the game will then provide you with a Venusaur to add to your roster. This applies to each evolutionary stage; to get a Charizard, you would first release seven Charmander to get a Charmeleon, and then release seven Charmeleon to get a Charizard.
This method encourages players to capture and collect multiple copies of the same Pokémon, even if they already possess one, as these duplicates contribute towards obtaining more powerful, evolved versions. It is a key strategy for expanding your collection with higher-tier Pokémon in Pokémon Rumble Blast.
