What is my real color?

Published in Skin Tone 1 min read

Your "real color" likely refers to your natural skin tone. This is the color of your skin without the influence of sun exposure or tanning. To determine your natural skin tone, observe the color of your nail bed or pinch the skin under your arm (or any place the sun never shines). Does the tone tend to appear more reddish-orange, reddish-blue, pinkish-blue, peachy or yellowish? Once that's determined, you'll have a benchmark for your natural skin tone.

For example, if your skin tone appears more reddish-orange, you likely have a warm undertone. If it's more pinkish-blue, you likely have a cool undertone. And if it's more peachy or yellowish, you likely have a neutral undertone.

It's important to note that your skin tone can change over time due to factors like sun exposure, age, and even your diet. However, your "real color" will always be the natural tone of your skin.
