Following his departure from OMP, Dr. Obagi did not step away from the skincare industry. Instead, he channeled his passion and expertise into a new venture. In 2007, just one year after leaving Obagi Medical Products, he founded ZO Skin Health, Inc.
This new luxury skincare company, based in Beverly Hills, California, allowed Dr. Obagi to continue developing innovative skincare programs and products that fully reflected his current philosophy and scientific approach to skin health. His establishment of ZO Skin Health, Inc. underscored his commitment to his unique vision for dermatological care, a vision he felt was no longer fully embodied by Obagi Medical Products.
