Pure rose water is clear, not pink or white.
Rose water, also known as rose hydrosol, is created through the steam distillation of fresh rose petals. This process extracts the beneficial components of the rose petals, including micro-droplets of rose oil, into the water. However, the resulting liquid remains clear in appearance. While some commercially available products labeled as rose water may contain added ingredients or dyes that give them a pink hue, authentic and pure rose water is naturally clear.
The clarity of rose water is a sign of its purity and the distillation process. Any added color is usually for aesthetic purposes and doesn't necessarily enhance the benefits of the rose water itself.
