While Alexa's natural and most commonly seen form is that of a giraffe, she did undergo a temporary transformation in the episode "Computer Vampire," where she appeared as a mountain goat. This temporary change was specific to that episode, with her core species remaining a giraffe.
It's also noteworthy that Alexa is among the first characters in the series whose name is derived directly from her voice actress, Alexa Mongello.
