To stop a Veracode scan that is currently in progress, you typically delete the active scan request. This action effectively cancels the scan before it completes.
Cancelling an In-Progress Veracode Scan
If you've initiated a scan and realize you need to halt it—perhaps due to an incorrect upload, an outdated build, or simply no longer needing the scan to run—you can cancel the request. This process applies to static analysis scans that are still being processed.
Follow these steps to stop a Veracode scan by deleting its request:
- Navigate to In Progress Scans: Access the In Progress Scans page within the Veracode platform. This page lists all static scans that are currently running or queued.
- Select the Scan: Locate and select the specific static scan you wish to stop or delete from the list.
- Delete the Request: Choose the Delete Request option. This action initiates the process of removing the scan request.
- Confirm Deletion: You will be prompted to confirm your decision. Confirm that you want to delete the scan request to finalize the cancellation.
Once confirmed, the scan will be stopped, and its analysis will cease. This is a common method for managing active scan queues and ensuring resources are used efficiently for relevant analyses.
