Symptoms of Hendra Virus in Humans

The best way to prevent Hendra virus infection in humans is to avoid contact with horses that may be infected. If you work with horses, take the following precautions:

  • Practice good hygiene, including washing your hands frequently with soap and water.
  • Wear personal protective equipment (PPE), such as gloves, masks, and gowns, when handling horses, especially if they are sick.
