How to Remove Wax From Wax Burner?

Published in Wax Burner Maintenance 2 mins read

Removing wax from a wax burner can be a simple task, especially when the wax is still in a liquid state.

One effective method is to use a cotton wool pad while the wax is still melted. According to information from 07-Oct-2021, whilst the melt is still in liquid form, place a cotton wool pad into the burner (2 if required) and allow the wax melt to soak into the pad. Pick it up, wipe any residue away and put it in the bin.

Here's a breakdown of this simple technique:

Quick Method Using Cotton Pads

This technique is ideal for hot, liquid wax. It's fast and minimises mess.

Steps:

  1. Ensure the wax in the burner is fully melted into a liquid state.
  2. Carefully place one or two cotton wool pads directly into the liquid wax in the dish.
  3. Allow the cotton pads to soak up the melted wax.
  4. Once the pads have absorbed the wax, carefully pick them up using tweezers or heat-resistant gloves if the burner is still hot.
  5. Wipe away any remaining residue from the burner dish with a clean cloth or paper towel.
  6. Dispose of the wax-soaked cotton pads in the bin.

This method works by quickly absorbing the liquid wax before it has a chance to solidify again, making the cleanup process much easier than trying to scrape out hard wax.
