  2. Navigate to Accounts: In the Settings window, click on Accounts.

  3. Go to Sign-in options: In the Accounts menu, select Sign-in options.

  4. Find Fingerprint recognition (Windows Hello): Look for the Fingerprint recognition (Windows Hello) option.

  5. Set up Fingerprint: Click on Fingerprint recognition (Windows Hello). If it's your first time, you'll likely need to click a "Set up" button.

    • Important: If you don't already have a PIN set up, Windows will prompt you to create one. This is necessary as a backup login method. Follow the on-screen instructions to create a PIN.
  6. Follow the on-screen instructions: The setup process will guide you to repeatedly scan your finger on the fingerprint reader. Make sure to vary the position of your finger to ensure a good scan.

Once the process is complete, you can use your fingerprint to unlock your Windows 11 device. You can also add multiple fingerprints for different fingers if desired.
