WordPerfect templates are stored in a specific location that can be easily identified and managed directly within the application's settings. While WordPerfect by default installs and utilizes a straightforward workspace template (for example, wp18US.wpt) as your initial default, the precise storage path can vary and is fully configurable by the user.
Locating Your WordPerfect Templates
To determine the exact location of your current default WordPerfect template or to choose a different storage directory for your templates, follow these simple steps within the WordPerfect application:
- Launch WordPerfect: Open your WordPerfect software.
- Access Tools Menu: From the top menu bar, click on Tools.
- Select Settings: In the dropdown menu that appears, choose Settings.
- Navigate to Files: Within the Settings dialog box, locate and click on the Files option.
- Go to Template Tab: Finally, click on the Template tab.
This will display the name and the current storage path of your active default template. From this same tab, you also have the option to modify the location where templates are stored or select a different template to be used as your default.
